Terms of Service
These terms cover the Data101 website (data101.uk), booking at cal.data101.uk, and the mentoring, training and consulting sessions we provide. They are written in plain English and kept short on purpose. By booking or attending a session, you agree to them.
01Who you’re dealing with
Data101 is a data mentoring, training and consulting practice operated by Mohammad Sayfe, a sole trader based in Amman, Jordan (Aktham Bin Saifi Street, Bin Auf Neighborhood, Al-Jubaiha, Amman 11941, Jordan). “We” and “us” mean the operator; “you” means the person using the site or booking sessions. Contact: [email protected].
02What the service is — and isn’t
Sessions are advisory and educational: one-to-one mentoring and coaching, structured training, and consulting for teams. We give guidance, feedback and direction; what you do with it is up to you.
No guaranteed outcomes. We do not promise — and nothing on the site should be read as promising — employment, interviews, job offers, promotions, or any particular career or business result. Phrases like “portfolios that get you hired” describe what we work towards together, not a commitment. Your results depend on your own work and on the market.
Sessions are not legal, financial, immigration or other regulated professional advice.
03Free of charge — for now
The service is currently provided free of charge. This is a first phase: there are no fees, and no payment is collected anywhere on the site. Because it is free, access is offered at our discretion — we may limit availability, decline bookings, or pause the service, and we make no service-level or availability commitment during this phase.
If we introduce paid plans later, they will be governed by separate terms shared with you in advance. Nothing you have booked free of charge will silently become paid.
04Booking, rescheduling, no-shows
Book through cal.data101.uk, with an accurate name and a working email address — that is how confirmations and changes reach you.
If you can’t make a session, cancel or reschedule with at least 12 hours’ notice, using the links in your booking email. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may cost you access to booking. Arrive on time and reasonably prepared; sessions end at the scheduled time.
05Acceptable use
Use the site and the sessions lawfully and respectfully. Don’t:
- harass or abuse anyone;
- share other people’s confidential or personal data in a session without the right to do so;
- misuse the site or booking system — scraping, probing, disrupting, or mass-booking slots;
- book with false details.
We may cancel bookings or withdraw access for any of the above.
06Confidentiality — both ways
We keep what you tell us in sessions — your career situation, your employer’s non-public information, your plans — confidential, and use it only to help you. The exceptions: things you have made public, things we are legally required to disclose, and anonymised patterns that cannot identify you.
You do the same with anything non-public you learn from us, or — in group settings — from other participants.
We only name you, quote you, or use your story as a testimonial or case study with your consent.
07Intellectual property
Our materials — exercises, slides, templates, code samples, session structures — remain ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning. You may not republish, redistribute or sell them, or use them to build competing courses or to train machine-learning systems.
Your work is yours. Portfolio projects, code and analysis you produce — including during or between sessions — belong to you. Our feedback on your work gives us no ownership of it, and you never need our permission to show your portfolio to anyone.
08Suspension and ending access
You can stop using the service at any time — nothing is owed either way. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or — because the service is free and capacity is limited — at our discretion, with reasonable notice for anything already booked. Terms that by their nature continue (confidentiality, intellectual property, liability) survive the end of access.
09Liability
The site and sessions are provided “as is”, free of charge.
To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, loss of opportunity or of any employment or business outcome, or loss of data arising from the service; and our total liability to you for everything arising out of these terms is capped at £50.
What this never excludes: liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. If you use the service as a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country you live in.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and disputes go to the courts of Amman, Jordan. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above always shows the current version. For material changes we will email people with upcoming bookings at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to book or attend after a change means you accept it.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing a term once doesn’t waive it.
